Listing Policy — For Local Pros

The short version
Appearing on Porter Ranch Pros is free. We don't charge you, and we don't owe you anything. Placement isn't permanent, isn't guaranteed, and can change at any time.
If that works for you, welcome. If it doesn't, tell us and we'll remove your listing.
How the top spot works
The top spot on each trade page goes to the professional with the most recommendations from Porter Ranch residents.
It cannot be purchased. There is no price, no package, and no arrangement that puts anyone in the top spot. The only way in is for residents to recommend you.
It is not permanent and it is not guaranteed. How we count, weight, and display recommendations may change as the site grows. We may add, reorder, or remove any listing at any time, for any reason, without notice.
What appearing here does not mean
Being listed on this site does not mean:
- We have checked your license, insurance, bonding, or qualifications
- We endorse, recommend, or vouch for your work
- We have any relationship with you, contractual or otherwise
- You are entitled to remain listed, or to any particular position
- We will send you leads, calls, or customers
We make no promises about traffic, visibility, leads, or results of any kind.
What we ask of you
Don't recommend yourself. Don't have employees, family members, or friends who didn't hire you submit recommendations on your behalf. Asking real customers to share their honest experience is fine and encouraged. Manufacturing recommendations is not.
Keep your information current. If your phone number, website, or service area changes, tell us.
Be accurate. Don't claim licenses, certifications, or qualifications you don't hold.
When we remove or change a listing
We may remove, edit, or reorder any listing at any time. Reasons include, but aren't limited to:
- The information appears inaccurate or out of date
- The business has closed, moved, or changed hands
- A recommendation appears not to come from a genuine customer
- We receive credible reports of serious problems
- We're restructuring a page, a trade, or the site
- Any other reason, at our discretion
We are not required to explain a removal, though we generally will if you ask.
Paid placements
Some spots on trade pages may be available as paid placements in the future. Any paid placement will be clearly labeled as paid. Paying for a placement does not affect the top spot, which is earned only through resident recommendations and is never for sale.
No commitment, either direction
You're not signing up for anything. There's no contract, no term, no fee, and no obligation on either side. You may ask us to remove your listing at any time and we will.
